Last week, I debuted my 2013 “Photo of the Day” project on the blog. Along with my Lyric of the Day (#LOTD2013) project on Twitter, it’s another way for me to keep my eyes open, my head thoughtful … and my blog that much more active!

New Project! Photo-a-Day 2013 … Here’s Week 1

Along with my Lyric of the Day (#LOTD2013) project on Twitter (see today’s for an example), another project I’ve taken on for 2013 is a “Photo of the Day,” which is going to appear here on TomRants either weekly or semi-monthly, depending on my workload. I’m always looking to improve my photography skills, and seeking out an image each day is a great way to do that. Some of these will be very specific to the day at hand, and others will just be something that caught my eye.

So, without further ado, here’s Week 1 of 2013:

Picture This!? (Vol. 2, February)

Continuing my photographic efforts, I had my camera with me on a couple Sundays earlier this month: at a bar in Santa Monica for the Super Bowl and in downtown for lunch and some architectural shooting. It’s a learning curve, but I’m feeling more comfortable with the camera and how Lightroom works for me once I’ve captured the images.
