The first week of April brought a rather early Response Expo. I am the content director of this marketing industry trade event, which I co-founded seven years ago. Our annual event was bumped back a month from its normal May timeframe thanks to some hotel scheduling issues. Still, it’s never a bad time to be in San Diego. Here’s the week that was April 1-7.
-APR-2013: Response Expo speaker badges awaiting speakers in San Diego.
-APR-2013: Coach Bob Knight nears the end of his stirring 75-minute keynote presentation at Response Expo.
-APR-2013: Performance art has become as much of a staple of the Response Expo Bayfront Celebration event as the San Diego sunset.
-APR-2013: Halfpipe surfers wowed the crowd at the Wave House during the Response Expo closing party.
-APR-2013: It’d been more than 30 years since I’d stepped aboard one of San Diego’s best-known tourist attractions.
-APR-2013: Back home in L.A., just in time for a perfect sunset above Dodger Stadium during my first visit of the season.
-APR-2013: I traveled to Anaheim to watch the Cup champs in a playoff-paced battle against the Ducks.
